SolarTech Working to Minimize COVID-19

As a community and company, we are working to minimize the spread of the virus and minimize the impact on our daily lives. While schools are closed and most people are being directed to stay home, we want to reassure our customers of our strategy to continue operations while following the guidelines set forth by local, state, and federal agencies.

Essential Services such as Energy and Construction are deemed critical for day-to-day necessities like keeping the power and lights on to allow other sectors to work remotely, as well as mitigation of issues such as impending Public Safety Power Shutdowns. Per guidance from the California Solar + Storage Association (CALSSA), we will continue to service, repair, and install solar energy systems until notified otherwise.

We are currently not experiencing delays with permitting and/or inspections for new projects, though this may be subject to change. We will continue operations while maintaining strict adherence to current guidance on social distancing and limiting face-to-face interactions. SolarTech is well-prepared for this transition and leverages technology to allow us to perform most functions remotely, such as system design and sales, online permitting, and system monitoring/diagnosis. While we manage many job functions using our virtual toolbox, some of our work requires site visits to install, service, or repair solar energy systems and battery back-up systems. These are critical roles to maintain secure and reliable power for Californians during this public health crisis.

The health and safety of our community and our company are top priorities. Employees are working remotely, our office is minimally staffed and operational, and field technicians are following guidelines to minimize face-to-face interaction and respect social distancing recommendations. While we are working diligently, staff limitations may create some delays in communication response. We appreciate your patience and understanding. We will continue to provide secure and reliable power for our customers. Thank you for your continued confidence throughout this crisis.
