Account Connection Help
Trouble Connecting to SolarFax?
SolarFax needs access to two separate accounts before it can start tracking your savings: your solar monitoring account and your utility account. Complete both steps below.
Solar Monitoring Account
Pick your system’s brand below. SolarEdge works differently than the rest.
Enphase connects to SolarFax using your normal Enlighten Portal login.
Do you know your login?
You’ll need to reset your password or register for an account on the Enlighten Portal before the SolarFax connection can be made.

SolarEdge requires a Site ID and API Key instead of a normal login. Answer the questions below.
Did SolarTech install your system?
SolarTech-installed means SolarTech is the listed contractor with access to your SolarEdge account.
Is your original installer/contractor still in business?
You’ll need Admin access on your own SolarEdge account to retrieve your Site ID and API Key.
No homeowner action is required. Our internal team retrieves your Site ID and API Key directly from our SolarEdge portal access and completes the connection on your behalf.
Contact Support for an Update →Contact your original installer and ask them to either:
- Grant you Admin access on your SolarEdge account, or
- Provide the Site ID and API Key directly
Once you have either, continue to the final step below.
Since your original installer is out of business, complete one or both of the following:
- Submit the SolarEdge Site Transfer Form to reassign the site to a new contractor (e.g., SolarTech)
- Submit a case via SolarEdge System Owner Support requesting Admin access directly on the account
Once you have Admin access:
Log into the SolarEdge monitoring portal, retrieve your Site ID, and generate or retrieve your API Key. Then enter both into SolarFax to complete the connection.
Utility Account
A separate login from your monitoring account, required either way.
SolarFax also needs access to your utility account, separately from your solar monitoring account, to track your energy usage alongside your solar production. This is the same login you use to pay your bill or check usage online.
