Beat The Rush!

Coming Soon in 2019, SDGE Will Completely Change How Electricity Is Billed!

Read On How To Learn More About These Changes and Beat The Crowd Before The Rush Happens!

Changes Are Coming!

Sometime in 2019, everyone in San Diego will be converted to the TOU (time of use) schedule. What does this mean to you?

Electricity prices will be more expensive depending on what time of the day it is.

The most important change is SDG&E’s new hours for peak pricing in time of use (TOU) rate schedules: 4pm – 9pm, adjusted from previous peak hours of 11am – 6pm.

For most customers, this change can increase prices DRAMATICALLY!

You pay almost double the price for using the same amount of electricity during On-Peak (4 p.m. – 9 p.m.) compared to Super Off-Peak (12 a.m. – 6 a.m.).

Don’t be fooled by SDGE, they claim that this new rate structure is in place to save consumers money. While in reality, time of use is being implemented to control electricity consumption behavior patterns.

Price Increase!

Electricity costs in San Diego are proposed to rise by 11 percent in 2019, and an additional 7.13 percent in 2020, 5.11 percent in 2021, and 4.99 percent in 2022. Now is a better time than ever to invest in solar panels to avoid paying the electricity premium.

Solar panels have the capability to save you money by reducing your utilities/energy costs along with several other benefits such as:

  • Zero-down financing options available that are significantly lower than your monthly electricity bill.
  • Going solar can nearly eliminate or significantly reduce your electric bill.
  • The system will pay for itself typically within 3-5 years, the rest of the duration will be a return on your investment.
  • Renewable clean energy reduces reliance on fossil fuels.

Free Yourself From Expensive Electricity
